Use this section to specify the area and term for which you want to enter or display area requirements.

| Area | Code for the area. Required.
If you enter an area code that is not defined on the Area Library (SMAALIB) page, the system displays a message with an option that opens SMAALIB so that the area can be added. When you enter a valid area code, the student level and course level associated with the area on SMAALIB are automatically displayed. | Description (untitled) | Description associated with the area code, automatically displayed when a valid value is entered in the Area field. Display only. |
| Term | Effective term for which area requirements are to be viewed or maintained.

| Catalog | Code of the academic year with which the term is associated. Display only. |
| Student Level | Student level associated with the area. Display only. |
| Course Level | Course level associated with the area. Display only. |
