Curriculum Checking Error Severity

Use this section of the page to define error checking by module and for CAPP compliance.

Fields Descriptions
Recruiting Radio group that indicates the severity of curriculum checking in the Recruiting module. Choices are:

Fatal - System does not allow a curriculum combination that is not defined and locked on the Curriculum Rules (SOACURR) page.

Warning - A message is generated that the curriculum combination is not valid, and the user is given the option to continue or cancel.

No Check - Curriculum rules are not checked, and no message is displayed.

Admissions Radio group that indicates the severity of curriculum checking in the Admissions module. Choices are:

Fatal - System does not allow a curriculum combination that is not defined and locked on the Curriculum Rules (SOACURR) page.

Warning - A message is generated that the curriculum combination is not valid, and the user is given the option to continue or cancel.

No Check - Curriculum rules are not checked, and no message is displayed.

Learner Radio group that indicates the severity of curriculum checking in the General Student module. Choices are:

Fatal - System does not allow a curriculum combination that is not defined and locked on the Curriculum Rules (SOACURR) page.

Warning - A message is generated that the curriculum combination is not valid, and the user is given the option to continue or cancel.

No Check - Curriculum rules are not checked, and no message is displayed.

Outcome Radio group that indicates the severity of curriculum checking in the Academic History module. Choices are:

Fatal - System does not allow a curriculum combination that is not defined and locked on the Curriculum Rules (SOACURR) page.

Warning - A message is generated that the curriculum combination is not valid, and the user is given the option to continue or cancel.

No Check - Curriculum rules are not checked, and no message is displayed.

CAPP Compliance Request Error severity of curriculum checking for compliance requests in CAPP has just one value, Fatal. It cannot be changed.

Consequently, if the Perform Curriculum Checking option is Yes, the system validates that the curriculum combination used for a compliance evaluation is in effect on the Curriculum Rules (SOACURR) page. Otherwise, the system does not permit the compliance evaluation.
