Sources section

Use the Sources section to create and update the source of the application. Multiple source codes may be created and updated. The following fields are in this section.

Fields Descriptions
Background Institution Code for a source associated with the application. Multiple sources may be maintained, but one must be the primary source or a warning message appears. An unlimited number of secondary sources can be entered.

This information defaults if defined in Recruiting, and a Recruiting record is used to create an application for Admissions for codes with the Source Indicator checked on STVSBGI. This value is stored in the database as Y.

This value comes from the Type field on the Source/Background Institution Query–Only (SOISBGI) page.

Description Description of the source institution associated with the application.
Primary Indicator Check box that indicates whether the source is the primary, first, or most important source of the application. One source can be a primary source for each application. You do not need to choose a primary source to save the application.

Choices are:

checked-This value is stored in the database as Y.

unchecked-This value is stored in the database as N.

Activity Date Last time this record was updated.
